Share-a-tories is an experimental project based in Los Angeles, California. The band was conceived by Andrew Morehart, originally from Columbus, Ohio, in 2006. He has been writing and recording various forms of ambient and electronic-based music under multiple names since high school. His first release was an instrumental album titled ‘Love Will Save Us’ under the name DJ Spinnagain. After relocating to Boston, Massachusetts to attend music school, Tom Mitchell (bass) and Adam Stehr (drums, percussion) were added to form the present live line-up.

Los Angeles band Share-a-tories have just released their new album, Reticent in It's Murky Fathoms (available at Bandcamp). With noise, ambient, and sunshine-pop influences, they craft a chipper, yet strange, sound that is altogether their own. "Sun Suspends Water" is a prime example of the sort of Super Furry Animals/Flaming Lips-esque feel their music so frequently conjures, with aquatic touches and more obscure experimental elements.

Share-a-tories is the brain child of Ohio transplant Andrew Morehart, a maven of all things D.I.Y. who recently came out west to share his deliriously blissful experiments in fractured pop music. For someone who has only been here for a few months, this music pretty much sounds like a summation of everything that is awesome about California.
