About me: Rock n roller since birth. However, life is an evolution and I find myself constantly shifting and changing and I love that. Many people ask, "are you that same "Share" that was the bassplayer in Vixen?" Yes, I'm the same one. My last name was different and now I'm married to Bam. Since the Vixen days, I'd like to believe I've developed as a songwriter and moved onto play guitar and sing lead in the band Bam and I started in 1997, Bubble. We surprised ourselves by winning the John Lennon Songwriting Contest "Song of the Year" Award in 2000 for a ballad we wrote called "SparkleStar". Honestly? We entered the contest because we'd received a credit card in the mail and wanted to see if it worked! ha!
The band went on for many years and changed members quite a bit. (as bands do.) Another surprise was winning Best Female Guitarist not once but twice here in LA! That kinda blew my mind a bit!
Songwise, our songs have been placed in several films and television shows .... none of which I pay much attention to...except one: Dancing at the Blue Iguana. Wow. Kinda cool!
Other evolutions include becoming a raw vegan, learning how to knit and then writing and publishing a knitting book called Punk Knits. Somewhere along the way we started a video podcast called Rock n Roll TV and now that is pretty much full time. I've also taught myself web design (hasn't everyone these days?) and am now learning options trading with Sheridan Mentoring. Hey, ya gotta keep life interesting, right?
1. Why is your name Ross instead of Pedersen now?
Well, Pedersen was a married name not my 'maiden' name so when that marriage ended and then I married Bam, I changed it to Ross. That is why I prefer Ross to Pedersen.
2. Are you still in Vixen? Were you in Vixen in the 90's?
No and no. Not out of any malicious reasons, but simply because I have changed. I appreciate those years very very much but I developed as a singer/songwriter and life carried me along.
3. Will Bubble do another album?
We have been writing new songs and recording them in our studio. However, we're not sure if we will call it Bubble as the style and direction is changed somewhat. But yes, there will be some new music probably in 2008.
