Gary Jones' canine companion, GENERAL -- By God, her name is...General Jones?!
Influences
Our freinds, families & loved ones. Also, our friends, families & loved ones who have moved on to a place unknown, but remain here in our hearts and souls. We are driven by Our Let Downs, Triumphs, Loves, Break-ups, Good Times and Bad Times. It all makes us who we are, and it teaches us that to be alive is the only luck you need...GENERAL is a SAINT!
GENERAL JONES is here to satisfy your general jones for music. The members of this Bay Area Rock & Roll/Soul/Blues/Funk group create songs from the innermost recesses of their souls. Their live energy is young, timeless, vigorous and, above all else, FUN. All of the songs on this site were written and produced in Shark Shartsis' small studio in Oakland, CA free of bells, whistles and rickitta-rackitta...true GENERAL JONES.
On behalf of Your Very Own General Jones: chase your dreams as far as you can. When it feels like you can't reach them, and they seem only to let you down, take a deep breath, then: REACH FARTHER, RUN FASTER, CHASE THEM HIGHER and they WILL come true - Anytime Your Walkin' With Ol' General Jones There's Nothing better That Can Happen to Your Soul.

Tom Ammaniano (state assemblyman from San Francisco) just introduced a
bill into the state assembly to tax and regulate marijuana as we do
alcohol -- i.e., it would be legalized, taxed, and regulated. Like
alcohol, sales would be limited to folks over 21, penalties would be in
place for dui, sale to minors, etc. in other words, it sounds like the
right approach. The bill's official number is AB390, and more info will probably be available soon at www. norml. org and www. mpp. org.
If you have a minute, call and/or email your state assembly person and
Senator to encourage them to support the bill. You can look up their
contact info online based on your zip code:
http://www. legislature. ca. gov/port-zipsearch. html.
Feel free to pass this along. The bill is fighting an uphill battle
against a vast legacy of misguided and uninformed policy, and it will
only have a chance of passing if people speak up in favor.
This bill will provide California with one billion dollars of revenue each year (each ounce is taxed $50)
