SHARKWATER's Interests
Music
Portishead, Nina Simone, Ali Farka Toure, Rye Cooder, Aphex Twin, and Jeff Rona are all in the Sharkwater Soundtrack - which you can hear on Sharkwater.com
In an effort to protect sharks, (Biologist/Filmmaker) Rob Stewart teams up with renegade conservationist Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Their unbelievable adventure together starts with a battle between the Sea Shepherd and shark poachers in Guatemala, resulting in pirate boat rammings, gunboat chases, mafia espionage, corrupt court systems and attempted murder charges, forcing them to flee for their lives.
Through it all, Stewart discovers these magnificent creatures have gone from predator to prey, and how despite surviving the earth's history of mass extinctions, they could easily be wiped out within a few years due to human greed.
Stewart's remarkable journey of courage and determination changes from a mission to save the world's sharks, into a fight for his life, and that of humankind.
"When the guns came out I started filming our journey so we'd have a record of what happened to us.
I think people will love this film because it's different. It's a true life adventure about a guy that wanted to save sharks."
-Rob Stewart
thank you for making a film about sharks and for telling the truth! I have spread the word to family, friends and everyone that is willing to listen... and in my own way have stopped shopping in places that sell shark fins and even go to restaurants that have it on their menu, if each and every single one of us took a stand, we as a whole can make an impact and difference, it begins with each of us... thank you for creating awareness and sharing your passion for this beautiful, powerful, magnificent creature the Shark...
OMG just saw Rob on The Best Years season finale!!! I FREAKED OUT! I was like "No one else is going to know who he is or what Sharkwater is but I DO and this is AMAZING!" haha And I am now ending my evening by watching Sharkwater on DVD and then going to bed! :) ♥
hey everyone can you please take the short small time to help save sharks by filling out this petition to save them! Every year thousands if not millions of sharks are killed solely for their fins for a stupid myth! If we kill the ocean we kill ourselves! The ocean produces over 70% of the oxygen we breath! Please!!!! Only a minute!!!
Thank you for the friendship. I always try to spread people to watch Sharkwater, the great documentary that everyone must see . Love and peace to you Phil

thanks for the add . i seen sharkwater at school and had to buy the movie, every creature belongs on this earth and if one species had to go it would be us. we cause more damage than anything else.
Hello, I finally saw Sharkwater last week. Wonderful. The one image that will haunt me for the rest of my life I think (there were a few of them)...is the turtle. A sicko of a man casually blinded this turtle. I expose myself almost regularly to the horror of animal abuse, but this effected me deeply. I'm very curious asto the circumstanced surrounding this. WHY? What was this guy like?? How did you get this footage? Were you using a hidden camera or was he showing off for the camera? Any reason that might exist does not justify this behavior.. I just need to know what surrounds this horrific image. Thank you for the film.
i want to be more active in the cause to take a stand in over fishing our oceans and the stand against the senseless killing of these great beasts ...please send me some links for the presevation of sharks and the ocean...thanks sean k dolan
