A Southern California native. I grew up with a soundtrack all my own. My first dance album was from the 50's called "How to Belly Dance For Your Husband" my sisters and I would dance to this record all afternoon.
Singing was something I never thought about "doing" it was just something I did.
I was a part of the LA Music scene in the 80's hanging with The Germs, Black Flag, X, Guns & Roses, GoGo's, The Police, etc...at venues like Gazarri's, Apollo Theater, The Whiskey, Rainbow Room, Hong Kong Cafe, the Atomic Cafe etc... and I cameo'd in movies like Decline of the Western Civilization, Through The Drinking Glass, Foosball with Leif Garrett etc, Heck I even grew up with "The Boys in the Hood", but even then I never foresaw my future in music at that time.
Funny how life brings you full circle, now I find myself in Binghamton with a great husband, the coolest kid you'd ever want to meet and a dalmation who is the perfect gentleman and animal friend.
I'used to be one of those people you see singing in their car, alright I still sing in the car (Smile).
I was told that I have a wonderful speaking voice and I should consider public speaking and voice overs, so I began this journey in music.
The adrenalin surge you feel when singing to a live audience is fantastic.
I love entertaining people, seeing them enjoying the music, and dancing with me makes it an honor to perform.
Sharon Sunness currently sings Lead Vocals with "Blue Shift" a local R&B band.
