Adrian and Mike first got together in 1976 in a touring 'cabaret folk' outfit called "the Faraway Folk".
When Faraway Folk went their separate ways in 1979, Adrian and Mike formed Sharp Practice and have worked together ever since.
Adrian takes care of the lead vocals and plays guitar while Mike handles backing vocals and plays bass, whistles, recorder and harmonica. Adrian writes all the songs and both Mike and Adrian provide the arrangements.
Sharp Practice are experienced professionals and are as at home in the television or radio studio as they are on the concert stage.
Their last two albums are "Talking it Over" and "Dark Island" and both of which are still available.
The current Sharp Practice set consists of a mix of traditional music, contemporary covers and original material.
This years festival is headlined by Billy Bragg (Friday), Seth Lakeman (Sunday) and Peatbog Faeries (Saturday) with many more top artists also performing.
Glastonbury was amazing, we played on a few of the smaller stages, including one that ran off pedal power, so we had to keep asking the audience to get on the bikes to keep the sound going! sorry it took me so long to reply, i hardly use this...I should be at Sidmouth right now, but the weather is so rubbish and we didn't have a gig today, so I thought I'd come home for a shower! I'm back there tomorrow though - are you or Cathy or Jim or Turkey going to be around at any point? If not I must come to a session soon - let me know when there's one on!
