Shattered Sun’s tracks, from “No Sympathy” to “Wearing Thin”, off their EP is intensely metalcore, along with heavy metal riffs and pounding drums and in your face bass. These super insane hardcore songs are certainly not for the faint of heart. The final track off their short Ep slows things down considerably, even offering a rainsoaked stormy backdrop, ala the Doors. It’s a slow, steady refreshing take, and then – bang!! – here come those melt-your-face gut-punch vocals. Alice, Texas - Formed in 2005, Shattered Sun went through their growing pains, going through numerous lineup changes to finally finding the right people. Their style is heavy/thrash metal with incredible guitar riffs, vocal distortions and that magnetic raw appeal that allows them to create that maximum effect with every song, every time. They can sound brutal at times, but yet they have their melodic side to them. This can only be accomplished through talent and intelligence. They know what their audience wants to hear and they give it to them 100%.. We have the right lineup to deliver the brutal, yet melodic music that sets us apart from other bands. Shattered Sun’s newest single, “This Resolve”, is off of their new CD, “Endless Struggle recorded by Ken Susi (unearth). It’s theme is not uncommon in this world today - individuals suffering through life and getting dealt the worst hand possible and questioning, why them.
