Amongst the sprawling suburbs, East of L.A., right along Route 66 (you know, where everyone gets their kicks) right between here and there, is a city named Rancho Cucamonga. A fitting location for the inception and the genesis of Shaunteclair. The band first started playing in 2002, and firmly established itself while playing with such bands as: Hawthorne Heights, Thrice, Rufio, Death by Stereo, Glasseater and more. There were five songs written that year, and the band was playing shows every weekend to get their name known. The band consists of the two original founders guitarists Jeremy Binion (19) and Nick Patean (19), lead singer Ronnie Rentz (20), drummer Matt Marquez(21), and bassist Mitchell Escamaillo (20), who joined Shaunteclair in July 05. Just out of the recording studio, their five song demo clearly shows how each song energetically highlights each band members skills, while maintaining a distinct sound that reaches out and takes hold. The 5 have created a rhythmic blend of soaring vocals, powerful drum beats, and melodic, mesmerizing breakdowns, making their genre too challenging to simply call "Post Hardcore". Influenced by a variety of artists, Shaunteclair possesses the drive and commitment to continue to experiment with each instrument to its fullest. With the new demo being finished in as little as three weeks, their fan base has more than doubled. Their high energy stage presence, guitar throws, sing alongs, and amazing live sound always draws an audience and leaves them wanting more...
