Listen to this record or go ahead, stay in the dark. You will not meet its kind soon in the record stores of America. Tightly wound guitars shift abruptly through sharp-angled chords, pinned in place by a frenetic but never sloppy rhythm section. Cognates include everything you, personally, hold dear, and lots more, too. Some of the words rhyme! Melody simmers melodically underneath the melodic chunks of tuneful tuneage. No idea what Nate is singing about, but it sure sounds pretty or angry or dolorous or melancholy or, yes, religious. The soundtrack to a thousand bleak winter nights, redeemed by shards of occasional light and love. Aurora Borealis? You bet! As an added bonus, on the song “Run From The Day”: monkey noises.

Hey Nate- thanks for coming out for your Dad's birthday. We had a lot of fun. Loved it when you got up there for "Mother's Little Helper"... definitely my new favorite version of that song.
I wait by my mailbox for a record...and it never comes. And I start to tear up a little, like when we watched 'Castaway' that one day when we said 'don't look at me'. Yeah. I remember that. It was sorta gay, sure, but shit, Wilson was his only friend. And I don't have any new records, and I feel like that. Again. See, I like yer music see, and I need something new to listen to...
Yer buddy gave us a new catchphrase around the house here when someone doesn't wanna do something, like the dishes or whatever..'laundry? I'd rather eat my own dong...' Btw-who the hell says 'dong' anymore? I don't think I've heard that word since 1975...
Nice write up in the Alive!! Wish I wasn't working AGAIN so I could come get drunk with you at your show tonight... I think perhaps you guys should stop by& see me before or after DAMN IT:))
thought you might appreciate that-where your heart is, where you started hearing the noises in your head that turned into songs. Damn fine songs. And yes please! Soon!
