About me:
HISTORY:
I consider my first “punk show” (June 6th, 1990 FUGAZI at the Electrician’s Hall, Dayton Ohio) one of the most pivitol time’s in my life. And I havent been the same since. Being inspired by publications such as SLUG & LETTUCE, MASS REVOLT, FLIPSIDE and MAXIMUM ROCK & ROLL, I channeled my new-found love of zines and the DIY spirit into publishing my first zine in 1994 called MOVEMENT. It was named after a song by a UK band called PENETRATION. It cost me nearly $260 to make 300 issues that were handed out for free. More issues were planned, but the overwhelming cost of the first one tore me up... I began a supplemental newsletter designed to be released inbetween issues of Movement (giving me time to save up money for publishing cost) and called it THE NEUS SUBJEX. I released three supplementals before shelving the whole deal. Much of the remainder of 1994 was spent participating in THE BLANK SPACE collective, whose main goal was the establishment of a all ages place for music... It was around this time that I began my involvement in a band with my then girlfriend (that would later become my fiance, then wife) Julie with her roomate Robin. We called our band THE SOCIALS in direct reference to the novel THE OUTSIDERS by S.E. Hinton. In 1996 I revived the early concepts I had explored with my supplemental newsletter and re-founded THE NEUS SUBJEX which soon became Cincinnati's most hated un-zine. I published 66 print issues before switching to online only publishing in May of 2006. You can view an online issue on the ..NEUS SUBJEX: OMEGA.. site. In 1998 I help found the prolific NEUS SUBJEX MESSAGES OF THE BORED, which is still alive today and under command of Colonel Liam Dolan at the
NEUS SUBJEX: ALPHA site.THE SOCIALS continue to this day, with Julie and I being teamed up with the illustrious Juice By Jerry. We have self-released two CD’s including 2002’s “Narrow Minded Entertainment for a Closed Minded America” and 2004’s “New Vibrations of Light”. I have contributed to various zines o’er the years including ZISK (
My Dad: Captain of the Cincinnati Reds and
The Cincinnati Reds have Strong Dominicans), THEORY OF EVERYTHING, TRAINED MONKEY PRESS, MAXIMUM ROCK AND ROLL and was also a member of the web-zine
BLANK GENERATION. Some past acomplishments include a collaborative art exhibit with Andy Brightone called POLARIZED CINEMATOGRAPHY AND DIALOGUE [Bar-Bee-Queued] show at Bughouse Video in Cincinnati as well as have my photographic work be a part of the I LOVE/WHERE THE KIDS ARE GOIN' TONIGHT book/CD released by
Tokyo Rose Records . My team-up with Andy continues as a co-host of an internet "all-wrong" radio program with him called
FUNCTIONAL INCONVENEINCE which is downloadable for free. Andy and I also collaborate on a varied video project called
Busize Video that included a puppet non-kids series called THE ROOTI FEBBLES... Andy is also “Master/Commander“ of the Neus Subjex “Omega Site”. In May of 2006, I have began publishing chapbook's of my own poetry with the debut of this effort being titled SINKING SHIPS ARE BEAUTIFUL followed by GO FOR IT, BE CAREFUL, ADDITION BY ADDITION (+X+), (KNIFE), PIECES OF AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE and SPECIMEN with a handful of “poetry singles” and “EPs” inbetween all of it... If you just so happen as to look inside CDs of DRIVER, MARK CHAPMANS .38 CALIBER, GOATSCREW or more recently the debut CD from THE BUFFALO KILLERS, you will see some of my photographic work... And see even more, like sets by GET SWEATY, VIVA LA FOXX, EASY ACTION, THE HIDERS, TIMPROJECT, THE PERNICIOUS KNIFS, KNIFE THE SYMPHONY, CLAUSE 83, THE MOON FAILS, LIONS RAMPANT, BPA, THE SUNDRESSES, HYPCHONDRIACS, CINCINNATI SUDS (and others) by checking out my flickr site packed full of my photography,
THE BIG DROP. Currently I am in the process of continued involvement in
THE SOCIALS, writing and coordinating responsibilities for THE NEUS SUBJEX, pursuing various art initiatives including my work as THE BIG DROP and freelance writng for
CityBeat promoting my latest books, TEETERING ON THE BRINK OF SCIENCE released by TOKYO ROSE RECORDS in 2008 and TO BE A MILE released by Xerus R & D in 2009. Im also spending a bunch of time with OLIVE. Thats a always-plus.

Comparing the solar system to an atom, the earth is an electron.
How do you feel being one among zillions of inhabitants of an electron?
Comparing one atom to the solar system, each electron is a planet.
How do you feel being a universe?
The Base Galactic thanks!

12:01 PM EST on Jun 28th, message sent one hour, 8-minutes prior to launch? Since you are so thorough (in procedural manners), I am certain that you have arrived at the designated time with new mode precision, passion of the uphill struggle, punk rock poise and as always, the honorary winner of the first-place Pabst Blue ribbon!
