Shawna R. B. Atteberry is a writer, storyteller, speaker, and theologian. Her ministry is to empower women who have been silenced and suppressed by a religious tradition. She believes the best way to do this is by telling the stories of the women in the Bible. She tells these stories on her blog, on other sites, and speaking engagements. She is currently working on the book, Career Women of the Bible, and she speaks about women in the Bible and women, religion, and spirituality. Her goal is to give women a voice in their religious traditions and use their spiritual and leadership gifts. For six years she was, first an assistant editor for the daily devotional, Reflecting God: Devotions for Holy Living, and then an associate editor for the adult Sunday School Curriculum line, Faith Connections.
Shawna’s pastoral experience includes assistant pastor for college/young adult ministry, associate pastor of adults, senior pastor, and missions work. She is a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
In addition to writing devotions, Sunday School sessions, and sermons, Shawna also writes short stories and poems. She is currently working on my first book proposal, Career Women of the Bible.
My website is at Life in the City, Life in the Spirit.

Bon wants you to join their mob in Mobsters, a Mafia-style combat game played on MySpace.
Start out as a petty thief and work your way up to become a Mob Don!
Join Bon's Mob!
You don't have to play if you don't like the game, but if you join, it helps me, even if you never touch it again. Thanks...

We are running three writing competitions, Flash Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction and Poetry, all with the theme 'City Smells. The winners of each of these competitions will win $100. But more than this, we will take the best work from each competition and compile a paperback 'City Smells' anthology. The writers who make it into the 'City Smells' anthology will each receive free copies of the book and be paid a royalty in book sales.
To submit to these competition and stand a chance of being published in the 'City Smells' book you must be a member of Edit Red, as the submission process is automated. Joining Edit Red and entering these competitions is 100% free. If you make it into the book, we will pay royalties based on book sales.
Edit Red has existed for many years and was created and is still managed today by non-fiction author Alan Emmins, creative writing teacher Chris Lee Ramsden and literary reviewer Sean Merrigan.
If you are not already a member, we hope you will join and take part in this great literary event. Sign up here for free!
Regards
Alan, Sean and Chris

Y'know, I was also wondering how we did not do anything dangerous together.... We did put ourselves in danger of reprimand or firing at work, right? Does that count as dangerous?
