  • General

    I love the Fighting Illini and like the Mizzou Tigers. I like there more and more each week as I get past the opening game. My NFL allegiances have been thrown into disarray. I have long been a Rams nut, sticking with them through hard times. I respect what Chip Rosenbloom is trying to do and there was hope I could feel good about this team with Trent Green but once again there's Marc Bulger in the huddle. Right now, I am a full bore Arizona Cardinals fan. I grew up with that team and never could hate them and Kurt Warner's been fun to watch. Sure I have warm fuzzies from his Rams years but his toughness and resillience is a new twist to the story. Now he was tough then, playing with messed up ribs in the first Super Bowl, but watching him play with one arm is impressive. Now I really am perplexed because I have feelings for another NFC West team... the team I thought of as the "Great Satan".. the 49ers. I just love watching Isaac Bruce prove the doubters wrong and I've long been a Mike Martz fan and was disgusted as this man was forced out while sitting in a hospital bed. I love the Redbirds, like the Cubs, love the Blues, karaoke, fighter jets and World War II aircraft. I'm a history buff.. I love WWII and love talking to vets. One of the most rewarding things I ever did was play a small role in helping the group that built the Illinois World War II Veteran's Memorial... what a great bunch of guys. I love to travel, but never seem to have enough cash to do a whole lot of it or friends/a signfiicant other to go to the places I'd like to go....

    Longtime Cardinal broadcaster JACK BUCK... He's the primary reason I got into the radio business... nothing but class... even when he battled more health issues than Job... he still sounded amazing to me... I will never forget the courage and conviction he showed at the first game after 9/11... Plus he was a WWII vet to boot... This guy did a bunch of charity work in and out of the public eye... and used his fame for good... My favorite athletes past and present include the Bus, Jerome Bettis, Marshall Faulk, Dan Dierdorf, Roger Wehrli, Jackie Smith, Walter Payton, Kurt Warner, Roger Staubach, Jack Clark, Keith Hernandez, Bruce Sutter, Ozzie Smith, Joaquin Andujar, Trent Green, Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Brett Hull, Al MacInnis, Mike Liut, Bernie Federko, Nick Anderson and London Fletcher to name a few. Walter Kronkite is larger than life... Just about any veteran... it makes me sick when I see 'Nam era vets who weren't helped in their adjustment back to the homefront.. and they walk around this country homeless.. how assinine...

Hello there... I'm a 19-year radio vet... done some news, done some comedy, some play-by-play, had a stint with the Rams Radio Network in the Air Martz/Greatest Show on Turf days and now I'm waiting for/seeking my next gig after my second tour of duty for Cardinals flagship station KTRS ended with me facing the toughest decision of my life... leaving radio to teach in West Texas. Great money, great boss, great people, just wasn't ready to leave radio... in the words of Forrest Gump... "I'm not a smart man Jenny".. okay well Jenny has nothing to do with it... I'm trying to cultivate a personal life after being married to my career...
