In a little nasty grassy empty lot somewhere near Portland Avenue Lux St. Northland North Goodman and all that sometime in the mid seventies Leonard Cohen Frank Zappa Joni Mitchell Kate Bush Ol Dirty Bastard and of course Janis Joplin all had a splendid intoxicating orgy and from their amalgamated juices sprung forth the fruit of such lust and the name given was Shawnee Boyeee.
Shawnee grew up in the city of Rochester where he exposed himself to the rich character of urban reality and naturally cultivated his wild ghetto style. REality shifted and the houses became candy coated. Shawnee could only think of music and so took 2 days of tests got his GED and a four track and wrote and played music. After a bit he had to get a job but did not like the job thing so went to college for music.
At Fingerlakes Community College he studied the great works of Bach, Bjork, Mozart, and Schoenberg; played in jazz band, classical guitar ensemble, performance R & B band, and in a group with the Local Maestro Gregory Paul. After receiving his Associates in music from Finger Lakes Community College, the greatest symphony orchestras in the world were requesting he take a seat with their outfit. Shawnee regretfully had to respectfully decline Moscow, NYC, prestige and status because the cunning Strings of fate brought into form the Midnight Dragonz.
This local Hip Hop band included members of Gaylord Slumdays and Gaybot and was Shawnee's Passion for the next 4 years. So at the Bugjar fest the lights went down the people moved forward jazz flows percussion bass thank-you good night. Shawnee worked a job and drove a car until he was pulled over twice for being poor, the car took away all his money, and he was broke in Rochester. Then the thought had him that he doesn't have to be broke in Rochester; he can be broke Anywhere!!! He moved to Austin Texas to live with two fabulous musicians from the Tribal Rock Psychedelic Fusion band Kan'Nal. There he co-formed a Tex-Mex hip-hop project and began attracting large masses of Austinites with his beat box/harmonica and solo performances. At the end of his stay in Austin he embarked on a west coast tour with the band Kannal that catalyzed his thirst for traveling.
Now Shawnee writes records performs collaborates and tours around the country. He has done two tours through, NY, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, California, Oregon, Montreal and Boston with whatever money appears and no car.
Let me slip slide into first and say that living everyday as a new unique day void of much routine embracing chaos celebrating uncertainty and believing in the power of positive vibrations has made this journey a blessed one.
The music is acoustic guitar, recorder, or harmonica accompanied by singing beat box rapping scatting and glosalalia Avec politically poetically socially spiritually psychedelically humourslly conscious lyrics and more laughs than that magical night the goddess conceived you.

It appears that this question has been answered with the well-timed release of Shawnee Boyeee's newest album, 'A Fool's Light Hearted Journey.' Critics are offering unanimous praise, competing for superlatives in describing this musical milestone. Shawnee's desire to "write a pop song / Something the whole world can sing" has clearly been achieved, as his new tunes find rotation across the radio spectrum, equally prevalent on indie college stations and commercial top-40 radio. Shawnee is taking the explosion of publicity in stride, smiling to greet reporters as he emerges from smoke-filled limousines. He was unavailable for comment, but promised to "holler back" at a future date.
