About me:
I am a 28 year old recovering alcoholic who is trying to put all the pieces together. I quit drinking and using drugs 7 months ago and wants to continue to pursue healthy living and cleanup the wreckage from my past. I live in the ghetto town of Auburn, Wa (suburb of Seattle). I am looking forward to moving within the next year ( the sooner the better). I am planning on moving to the Ft. Myers, Florida area in the near future.http://www.friendsofbill.net I work as an electrician, which is very slow during this economy. Hopefully it will pick back up before 2012. I am the type of guy who is transparent in the way I live my life. I am the same no matter who I am around. That way I don't have to keep my stories straight. Honesty is still the best policy. Being an alcoholic, I know that certain behaviors will lead me back to that lifestyle. Honesty, living free from resentment, and helping others with their problems are key requirements for recovery. I come from a really good family. I have 3 brothers and 4 sisters (I am the eldest). I have 3 aunts and 4 uncles. Family is important to me. I am sorta old fashioned in the way that I see family, marriage, and morals/ethics. I am not judgmental towards people who live in conflicting lifestyles, I just don't endorse or agree with their standpoints. The minority should never impose their view points on the majority. I have a strong faith in God and Jesus Christ. With out them, I would have never stopped drinking. I am a better person because of Jesus than I would be without Him. He is the reason I exist. I am pretty much a down to earth sort of guy. I get along with all types of people, I can relate to most people and people generally consider me a really good guy. If there are any things I may have left out of here, let me know. I have never been married and have no children.
Who I'd like to meet:
I really enjoy meeting new people nowadays. Its easy for me to talk and relate to people now that I am living my life in a more positive way. I like honest, real people. People that have to wear fake facades are not the type of people I enjoy. I am not too into the "Pop" culture of the USA. I find it to be repulsive. I would like to meet people who have meaning for their lives. Too many people go through life as if they are walking in the dark. Standing for nothing and falling for everything. People that have faith in Christ are typically ( but not always) the type of people I can get along with the best. It is the common mortar that binds us together in this temporary human experience. We are all spiritual beings experiencing a temporary human experience. We will all die someday and stand before our maker, to give Him an account of what we spend our lives doing. Thanks to Jesus, I am under His Mercy and Grace. I pray for those who do not know these things, nor who have never experienced this. Eventually, I would like to meet my soul mate. Do the typical thing and get married and raise a family. I take marriage serious and intend to do it only once. Hence the phrase "'till death do us part" in the marriage vows.Friend Space (Top 39)
