Born Feb. 11, 1971, Nova Scotia based
guitarist / songwriter Shawn Hebb has not even come close to seeing it all…..but
he’s seen quite a bit.
He cut his teeth playing classic rock on the Northern Canadian
bar circuit, played funk, blues and soul with a variety of bands in
Toronto, and lived in Bangkok and Hong Kong performing in a 6 piece
top 40 show band.As
well, Shawn has played guitar and recorded for artists like Geoffrey
Tyler, Jeff Scott and Amer Diab, toured America with the Beach Boys
tribute act Surf’s Up, and performed as a solo act on cruise ships
in the Caribbean.
Shawn also writes and produces his own music.
His self released album
Tourist is a folk pop journey of love and loss, of finding your
way in the world and life. With hints of country and folk,
Tourist has been compared
to The Shins, John Mayer, Snow Patrol and Marc Cohn.
Shawn Hebb writes songs you can relate to….stories that
have happened to you, or someone you know…..songs that hold you
while telling that story.
Shawn is as influenced by Colin Hay, Nick Drake and Tom Waits as he
is by Motley Crue and Iron Maiden, by Chuck Berry and the Beatles as
he is Duran Duran and Splt Endz, by Fat Boy Slim as he is John
Mayer.
“Shawn Hebb is definitely a melody guy, right down to
the handful of tasteful guitar solos...warm-up your vocal cords,
there's plenty to sing along to.” Kevin
Zarnett – The Muses Muse
Shawn bagged a lot of groceries to buy his first guitar…..he hasn’t
looked back too much since.
Hey Shawn! Just wanted to say hello and see what you're up to. Hope you're having a lovely summer and I hope we get to share a bill again some time! KJ
Hey Shawn:
Thanks for connecting. You've done a lot of cool playing for such a young groovester! ;-) I hope your feet don't smell like old leather wrapped in bacon! LOL

Cameron Crowe is not James Cameron.
Cameron is with Ann. James was with Linda. Cameron directed Say Anything? James did this one about a sinking boat. Got it? Good!
Also, this makes your story a tad more believable!
I'm spent!
Aw, Shawn, lovely to cross paths with you again. The glasses are workin for ya...sort of a "hot university prof" kinda thing. Hope to see you at the show tomorrow! -Lanie and Retrocity
