Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited (I like all Wes Anderson Movies) The Blues Brothers, The Kids are Alright (the who). I know it sounds lame, but watching "The Passion of the Christ" affected me so much, those stripes on his back should have been mine, but by them i am healed (Isaiah 53:5).

The Bible. Translated as close to the original language as possible (more literal than not). Such as the English Standard Version or the New American Standard Version. Visit http://www.biblegateway.com C.S.Lewis like the skrewtape letters, Dave Berry Does Japan (hilarious!), Watchman Nee's "The Normal Christian Life" has been very helpful, but I still haven't read the whole thing. I read all of the Lord of the Rings after the first movie came out. I was working at a college deli and had a lot of down time during classes. I'm more likely to re-watch those movies than re-read those books again. But I liked both. I've pretty much stuck to the Bible lately. I like to dig in deep. Get out the Greek, Hebrew stuff, find other verses with the same content and Greek/Hebrew words, compare both sides of popular arguments... good stuff.
Heroes
Jesus Christ, who did everything The Father told Him to do, being led by the Holy Spirit in power. He never backed down, even in the face of death. He fed those who would forsake Him, healed those who would turn away, even prayed for those who killed Him. While I was yet a sinner He died for me. Please pray for me that I would not continue to live like a sinner, but would walk in faith that in Christ I am a new creation, having put to death the flesh with it's passions and desires.
I greatly respect all who do the right thing, esspecially when no one is looking, or when it makes your life more difficult.

"God has been showing me more and more lately that we are all on the verge of a spiritual revolution. He is beginning to shake the earth and rattle the bones of Christianity, reawakening the Spirit within His children. Where once we were dead and numbed to His Ghost we will be alive and electrified with His power. Of course, not all of us have been lost within the wilderness, but, based on my experience, a lot of us have. Church, as we know it, is dead. Church, as God wants it, is just beginning to arise. Just last night I tasted of what I think He wants of us: people simply getting together under His name and spending time with Him, listening to Him, praising Him, obeying Him. All He wants is for focus to return to Him, away from the politics of organized church and back to the basics of Christianity. And I know this is happening. I can feel it. Everything that modern Christianity has been built on is crumbling, to be replaced by an older foundation, a deeper foundation, a foundation that goes all the way back to the time of Christ and even before. I keep feeling like we are returning to the way things were during the Biblical times. I am learning how to be a student of Jesus. My wonderful wife is named Alicia. We were just blessed with a beautiful daughter. She's amazing. I love to hike the Pacific Northwest, play bass, guitar, and drums, watch movies and funny shows, talk about theology, watch the UFC.... I've been in several bands, and I used to practice TaeKwonDo. I work for a company called brand building scaffold.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet people who are searching for truth and have an open mind, even if you don't agree with my views. I really enjoy people who know how to relax and have fun. Being silly is a good thing. It doesn't mean you are a child, it means you are having more fun than everyone else. I would also like to meet people who are zealous for God and want to live lives that honor Him.

I believe the Bible is true because God has showed me that the Bible has a worth that can not be messured and when i read it i experience a real change in who i am. I trust God becuase He has taught me who He is, and has proven Himself trustworthy through our relationship. He can prove the same things to you if you will let Him. God was very specific about setting up a pattern that proves His inspiration and guidance of the scriptures, and exposes faulty manuscripts and translations while confirming accurate ones.
