MUSIC -

For Work? As a professional pianist and keyboardist, I shift gears quite a bit when I feel that I need to polish up on certain genres or motifs. For influence? Yann Tiersen, Ben Folds, Keith Jarret (Köln Concert), etc. For Pure Fun? Myself ^_^, Genesis, Rick Wakeman (more solo than 'Yes'), Ben Folds, and various 'Final Fantasy' arrangements by Nobuo Uematsu. Quite a few more, but I'll stop there...

MOVIES -

A few French films with Audrey Tautou, like Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, and Un long dimanche de fiançailles. I am a fan of David Lynch; Fire Walk With Me and Eraserhead are masterpieces. Quentin Tarantino is a must, and Jan Švankmajer was a genius in every respect. Coen Brothers are excellent, and the South Korean 'Vengeance Trilogy' is amazing.

TV SHOWS -

Independent Film Channel, Link TV, 'Forensic Files' and other similarly themed shows, Dr. G, a lot of documentaries, and occasionally the History Channel. I'll watch Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert if they are on and if I am in for the night.

BOOKS -

Assorted Psychology Texts, Woody Allen, Marketing, Business, Advertising, Keyboard Magazine, and a lot of the old classics.

FOOD -

I believe that authenticity is the secret ingredient in any good meal, regardless of the ethnicity. Mexican food when made right, and some Chinese dishes. With Chinese food, I've tried a lot of different meals but only actually liked a few.
