  • Bio

Shawn P. Rohlf writes songs, then sings them with vim and vigor. Sometimes when he is feeling blue, he sings them mournfully. At other times, it's as if he is waking up from a dream where he is being followed down a dark street by Wolf Blitzer and Larry King. Then the dream starts to get really weird! His band, the 7th Day Buskers, have done pretty well for themselves and are starting to discover some musical notes that look like little planets when being viewed under a microscope. The "Buskers" (as all the people on those little planets like to call them) won San Diego Music Award's "Best Americana Band" in 2004 and have been nominated several other times. The "Buskers" are: Alex Watts-guitar; Dave Berzansky - steel guitar; T Bone - drums; Jef Kmak- bass, and Shawn - guitar, banjo, harmonica & vocals. They are currently in the studio with plans to release a new CD on April 16th, 2010! Let's see, what else does he do....hmmm. Oh yeah, he does musical theater, plays a bunch of instruments that nobody's heard of (like the banjo) and has been a sideman for numerous other artists on stage including: Steve Poltz, Tim Flannery, Berkley Hart, Eve Sellis, Gregory Page, , Sara Petite, Billy Midnight and more.....produces recordings, plays on recordings, listens to recordings and eats (while breathing and drinking). Currently working on a solo album as well that he's convinced will cure "restless leg syndrome." www.7thdaybuskers.com .. ......
