| | Music | Anything that has a good beat AND is well written, so almost nothing in the last decade, a few exceptions. Most everything now has the beat, but is poorly written by someone other than the "artist", I'm looking in your general direction Top 40 Pop.
| | Movies | Way too many to list now, maybe later.
| | Television | IFC and Sundance Film Channels, Scrubs, Big Love, House from time to time, anything to make me laugh, so a lot of what's on Comedy Central, but primarily sports shows like SportsCenter, Around the Horn, and Pardon the Interruption.

About me:
Greetings!
My name is Shawn Schaffer. I am a Cinematographer / Director of Photography, but pride myself on being a jack of all trades. I have been involved in the film business since 2002, I started as an actor, but quickly learned I had more interest (and more talent) behind a camera instead of in front of one.
I made my production start as a PA jumping on to as many projects as I could, almost always for free, to learn from the veterans on the set. Being on set was my film education, as I don't have any formal film school education. As a PA, I learned from the Grips, as a Grip, I shadowed my Key Grip, as a Key Grip I learned from the Gaffer, and as a Gaffer I learned from the Director of Photography and observed the relationship between Director and the Director of Photography. I knew when I started I wanted to be a Director of Photography, but I also have a passion to direct and edit as well.
In 2003, I formed my own production company, Bishop Productions. I have produced approximately a dozen short films and a feature film that I wrote and directed as well entitled "Pawn". I haven't produced in some time now, as I focus on my career as a Director of Photography, but am open to the possibility at some point in the future.
Since starting in 2002, I have worked on more than three dozen short films, a dozen feature length films, and a score of Corporate, Promotional, Documentary, Episodic, Music Video, and yes even Infomercials, among other projects. I have worked as the Director of Photography on more than half of these projects and am proud to say that for the last three years, this is my job, this is how I make my living, and I love my work. A bad day on a set is better than any day in a cubicle.
