Jewelry, for me, is a form of expression. Like painting a picture, making each piece of jewelry takes technique, practice, and thought.
My favorite step in the designing process is the hunting for the gemstones that I want to use. They are so organic and powerful. I've been intrigued by rocks and gems since childhood. I used to go "rock hunting" and take home what fabulous rocks I found (I believed they were worth lots of money). Then I would wash them and put a few coats of clear nail polish on each one. I thought I had a goldmine!!!
That was the beginning of my love for these rocks and gems.
I now have the technique and skills to make these gems into a piece of jewelry/art. I started getting more serious about my business around July of 2006, when women would come up to me out in public and want to buy my necklaces right off my neck! So I decided to take my hobby a step further. I wanted to share my love for this form of art. And I can do that through making each piece unique and fun for others to feel unique when wearing it!!!:)
