dancing, singing, riding my horse, listening to music i have never heard before, reading comics, reading books, sleeping-in, eating mexican food, cooking for my family, repairing things with duct tape, rehearsing, shameless self-promotion, making the love, laughing at things that are clever, being quiet with good people, bicycles, climbing things, fidgeting, filling out profiles, being way too wordy...

Books
Just finished Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. Just started Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. Currently comfort rereading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.
Comics blowing my mind right now:
PLANETARY. OH. MY. GOD.
ALIAS (older, but Jessica Jones is still my favorite character, and this book is amazing - I reread the whole run at least once a month)
Astonishing X-Men
New Avengers
Powers
Runaways (both Vaughn's and Whedon's)
Casanova
Welcome to Tranquility
Immortal Iron Fist
Captain America
Buffy, Season 8 (of course)
Punisher War Journal
Planet Hulk (the jury is still out on WWH)
I am also pretty much digging all the X-titles right now, but that is because I am a huge geek.
Heroes
Whedon. Bendis. Austen (Jane, not Chuck, but he is awesome as well.) Anyone else who can write a female character with complexity and brass. Please.
Also, Martha Graham, because she was the female described above.
And Chaka Khan. (Chaka Khan. You have to say it twice.)
About me: I sing jazz songs with some amazing musicians. I am lucky that way.
I ride horses of many shapes and sizes and colors. One of them is blind, but that is okay, because there is another one that leads him around and takes care of him. It is actually very sweet.
I like to ride bicycles. I wish more people would ride bicycles. Then there would be less people in giant SUV's yelling at me to "get out of the road!" Which is, incidentally, where you are supposed to ride bicycles. In the road.
I really love going to zoos. I plan trips around zoos. I hope someday to be in one, as either an employee or perhaps as a resident.
I have a deep affection for/fascination with ungulates, most particularly Okapia johnstoni. I also like otters. And meercats. And manatees. When you get right down to it, I pretty much like all mammals, except for cattle. I think they are kind of stupid, which is in no way their fault, but I still don't like them very much.
I will read the shit out of some comics. Then I will go back and read the shit. Yes; I am that hardcore.
Who I'd like to meet: People who will pay me to sing. People who will pay me to pour beverages into beverage receptacles. People who will pay me to not be mean. Someone who knows well how to keep sea horses. Anyone who wants to give me all their back issues of Ex Machina so I do not have to pay for them. Maybe Chaka Khan (Chaka Khan - it bears repeating). I would like to meet her, too.
And Joe and Jimmy from CNI. They sound fun to kick it with.
hey.. I heard one of your long lost mexican or spanish relatives came to the phoenix when you where playing. I thought you were dutch? We should all go out and drink. (alien voice)
