i am making an attempt to become good friends with the violin. i've got a few other instruments under my belt and a few tricks up my sleeve. i live to be inspired. i write music and i write words, but have never put the two together...yet. i thrive in the summer, but i like when the leaves change colors in the fall/autumn. i love white tea and chai and cafes. odds are better than evens, green is the best, as are sunflowers and black calla liles - i love flowers, if you are keeping track. my current obsession is knitting. and yoga. and running. i hate bad caramel lattes. i'll stop anything to watch the sun set, or to see the stars. i'm admittedly a bit strange...sometimes. if i weren't strange though, i'd be insane. in the end it is a good thing.

Hello Shayna-

I am finally getting a chance to listen to your music in it"s entirety. It is some beautiful stuff. Very airy and ambient.

We should do a collaboration with some of my electronic stuff when you come back. It has a similar vibe.

Munchkin Chatter is a great minimal piece. Are you using a loop station or overdubbing?

And Kyoto is equally beautiful with Japanese/Irish roots. I dig your tracks!!

Open Mic? same as always... some good, some ok, some great... and we never know from week to week what to expect. it's been OK of late. Some new folks who are quite good. and most of our old reliable regulars, with the exception of one cute, fun, incredibly talented young fiddler. So it goes. Keep pluggin', girl. You got the stuff... amke sure folks find out.
