Taosshortz is a Taos Tradition! We are in our second year and going strong, the venue to see and be seen. We are dedicated to featuring quality short films from around the globe. Here's you opportunity to strut your creative stuff amidst the mountains and mesas of Taos. With thousands of film fest, why should you come come to Taos? We are accepting submissions of a grabbag of genres: animation, comedy, drama, documentary, experimental and cell phone shorts. Toby Tatum is very pleased to announce the completion of his new film Crime Scene
With Crime Scene Toby Tatum engages with his obsession with crime and, in particular, crime films – abstracting the genre's stock characters, situations and plots and reworking them outside the boundaries of conventional cinematic narrative.
The cast includes punk legend Gene October of Chelsea who, along with enjoying a successful music career which spans some thirty years, has also appeared in films including Derek Jarman's Jubilee (1978) and Caravaggio (1986).
Ripple Cinema film submissions £10 ($20) per entry, films must be no longer than 8 minutes.
Films to be shown at ripple Six a five-day contemporary art fair(23 May - 27 may 2008), and online cinema website throuhgout 2008 and You tube and MySpace. Where films are seen on WWW.RIPPLEONLINE.COM contact details and link to the film makers website will be provided.
