Sheena Enid Singh, formally known artist Sheenah, was born in Lowell, Mass, on December 8th, at Lowell General Hospital; she later moved to Miami, Fl at the age of 1 with her mother (manager). She was discovered to have a tremendous talent for music at the age of 5 when playing the same melody of a song on a toy piano later ..ing off her career with modeling, acting, and piano lessons from the age of 5-12. At the age of 12 she started her singer/songwriter/dancer career, considered to be a triple threat with a Powerful Pop/Soulful sounding voice, in the Spanish and English music industry. A talent that’s true and expressive definitely defines what Sheenah is all about. This young talent writes her own songs and composes her own melodies, with just hearing a beat in minutes and will have a hot song fully done in less then one day, she quotes " writing music is so easy coming for me and when I have to write about something I haven't gone threw I just feed of peoples emotions and what they have gone threw". Remembering monologues as a hobby and taking pictures with her natural photogenic grace, she has won many competitions and has gotten a lot of recognition, not only in Miami, Fl but in N.Y.C, L.A, Cali, India, Texas, Vegas Nevada, Europe, etc. Sheenah is well known for her sincere, sympathetic, friendly, sentimental, romantic and kind heart with a strong character and good values. Knowing what she wants she keeps her head up high and doesn’t let anyone take advantage of her hard work or of others that relate to her in this industry. A female singer with a RICH, DEEP, LOW voice, she quotes “The arts are a part of me and of who I am. When I move the crowd with my performance, it is the greatest feeling in the world. That is when I know and believe that I have what it takes to be the next big thing in the music industry”.
Growing up in Miami,fl with a single mother and doing music has not been easy. Sheenah attended Norland Middle School of the Arts all through her middle school years and didn't really make many friends and was not seen as a radiant talent, but a hyperactive child with no future within the school; but happy to say with the people that would see her on a stage outside of her school she was a new born star with a bright future. In middle school she was constantly picked on, called vulgar names, and seen as waisted musical talent. Constantly ignored by all the professors and laughed at because of her rare low toned contralto voice. Sheenah Always had a problem with the main head of the music department Mr. Carillo. He taught music composition to all the magnet students in the music department. She states, "I never saw a song through notes I had always seen it through my ears and the notes I would sing. I never understood it really. I would just go by my ear and boy did he hate me for that one. I just couldn't get music composition, I do now but not at 12 years old". Her misunderstandings between her and Mr. Carillo where so bad, that he wrote her a so/so music report on her musical talent which caused her not to get accepted to New World and various magnet schools. She decided to attend a regular high school and was convinced that magnet schools were not for her. She didn't like the energies, she didn't like the attitude and she wanted to go to school somewhere where she could express Sheenah.She was convinced that persistence and talent would get her where she needed to be and that she can mold herself by learning through a hard road of struggles, off of others she would work with and never give up. At 15 she knew this was not going to be easy and that stardom would come to her in a very long harsh road. She quotes " a clear road will never let you see what needs to be appreciated in life, but a road full of thorns will let you know what you need to appreciate when your journey ends". In high school Sheenah decided to keep it more of a low profile. After going through hardships, vulgarity towards her, and being put down in middle school. She concluded that her solutions to problems in school would be to keep a low profile in music and do alot of sports. While she proceeded with her love for music more outside of school then in school it didn't seem to last long. She made friends that loved dancing, friends that loved music and friends that loved everything that had to do with the arts. More of a competition but Sheenah never really saw anything as a competition and that was a problem for others but not for her. She figured just to be the best on stage and keep it on stage. She quotes" a true talent never needs to put others down before a performance to have the better show, a true talent stays in their circle to practice their routine and gets to know the other artists, and a true talent doesn't need to be envious of another persons musical talent, I kept this mind set and just brung it on stage and it always worked, still does". She says, " people have always envied me, stabbed me in the back, try to use me, try to bring me down continuously. People have done me so much harm that it's unspeakable and I have gone threw so much because of that. All I can say is that it's life and the only way to prove those people wrong and bite their tongue is making it."
