Sounds Like
Instead of reeling off a load of bands that we like, these are some comments that we have been told or bands we have been compared to. Even if we dont agree with it. Black-Folk, Flogging Molly, The Dubliners, Little Richard, The Pogues. Thin Lizzy, The Popes, Etc.
This is the track listing for our first release;
1. Greenland Whale Fisheries. (Trad, arr by John Lenin) A 18th century whaling song which involves versions by The Dubliners and The Pogues..
2. Johnny's Army. (Lenin) The third song written for Three Sheets took 5 minutes to compose.
3. Star Of The County Down. (Trad, arr by John Lenin) An old irish song made famous by John McCormack.
4. Last Of The Sun. (Lenin)
The second song written by Three Sheets and is one of the crowd favourites at any gig. The only one of our songs written in 6/8 timing.
5. Dole Days. (Lenin) The very first ever song! A slow waltz-ballad outro in 3/4 timing, still a favourite in live sets after 4 years of playing it.

Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye-Live at the Jockey (rough&ready)
The term "three sheets to the wind", meaning "staggering drunk", refers to a ship whose sheets have come loose, causing the sails to flap uncontrolled and the ship to meander at the mercy of the elements.
Press:
''This is four young guys from Pontefract performing Pogues-style numbers with
old punk energy and West Yorkshire style. Led by John Lenin, they're influenced by "women, alcohol and the
dole" and kick up a hell of a racket. Like their new CD, they're rough, but brilliant.''
Burnham-on-Sea Folk Festival, Somerset www.folkfest.com
Reviews of Future Relics: Three Sheets T' Wind, Take Me Up To Monto ''The Pogue-esque offering of 'Three
sheets t'wind's' 'Take me up to monto' certainly don't fall short of the
expectations of their truly genius band name.''
Melissa Greaves, The Rhubarb Bomb
''In between the other odd bits of acoustic weirdness, are Three Sheets t’wind who manage to sound like a drunk Pogues with dramatic, fantastical effect.''
Manchestermusic.co.uk
''If they've not been called it already, ought to be labelled the 'Pontefract Pogues'-With a set of songs combining self-composed observations on life altogether with more traditional material, they've been likened to such as The Dubliners, Flogging Molly and Thin Lizzy, though they don't always agree with such comparisons!''
