About me:
Sheffield Doc/Fest8 - 12 June 2011
The UK’s most important documentary and digital media festival.
'Britain's best documentary festival'
David Cox, The Guardian..
'Britain's premier showcase for new documentaries from around the world'
Sean O'Hagan, The Observer..
Sheffield Doc/Fest hosts an annual film festival, industry session programme and market place taking place across five intense days. The Festival offers a wealth of inspirational documentary films from across the globe, pitching opportunities, controversial discussion panels, in-depth filmmaker masterclasses and unique parties.
Sheffield Doc/Fest is the only place in the world where you will meet all the British documentary industry under one roof. It is the perfect place to launch your latest documentary, pitch new ideas, meet future co-production partners and get insider tips from some of the world’s best documentary makers. It's a relaxed and friendly place to hold meetings with producers, commissioners and distributors, learn about the latest trends in production and discover new innovations and emerging talent.
Following the biggest and best festival to date, the 18th Sheffield Doc/Fest will be held in Sheffield from 8-12 June 2011. For the past three years, the Festival has attracted record delegate numbers and passes sold out so book early for 2011.
Public and Industry can get involved…by entering a film, applying to the MeetMarket, Submitting a Session Idea, entering one of the pitching competitions and, of course… simply attending the Festival! Delegates can register for the whole festival or for selected days such as DFG Day or DocDay.
