High Voltage Electro night @ The Royal George in Soho.
REVIEWS
"SHEGOTSiCK, possibly the most energetic duo ever to grace the stage,
dancing about and thrashing away to their iPod accompaniment,
creating a slightly strange but very interesting hip-hop/electro pop hybrid that I really enjoyed.
These guys are worth keeping an eye on, they kept the audience interest here and I think,
put on in a club like Waster, they'd blow people away!"

"If they carry on producing tracks as strong as these I am sure they will create quite a buzz and build a very strong fan base. Then, who knows what could happen..."
"Comprises of very pleasing echoing male vocals, joined as the track progresses by rapping. The standout track from the EP is the last song ‘This is what you do,’ the track is the perfect way to round off this set of promising songs from the newcomers"
"Highlight of the EP actually contains the least confrontational lyric. The quite beautiful ‘Heaven Must Be Beautiful’ is a sad, warming poem to a lost loved one. Good stuff"
"Class war. Rebellion. The spirit
of punk . . . But rapped over
an electro-pop backing track
on an iPod?
Hmmm, as a reviewer old enough
to remember punk the first time, I
was fully prepared for an irritating
Friday night with Portsmouth’s
SHEGOTSiCK. This was, however, a
thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The sibling duo will need to clean
up their lyrics if they’re ever going
to get radio play but they certainly
deserve to be heard by a wider
audience. Rapper Sinade snarled her
way through the set, clearly believing
in the sentiment behind the
self-penned tracks.
My favourite, Confronting Me,
gave Galvin Lee an opportunity to show
he has a solid tuneful voice, with
Sinade rapping over him to bring us
back to their core sound.
It turned out to be a hot night in
this great small venue. Brother and
sister they may be; Same Difference
they’re not"

"If Tony and Guy did Grime...."
Dave Saunders, DJ and producer.
"I was very impressed. Really clever fusion of hardcore white-girl rap (impeccably pulled off, I might add) with some topical social commentary and decent vocal chorus and breaks.
Needless to say, they won the showcase. Definitely want to see more of them."

“You're unlikely to attend another event in London like this so our advice is to get your ticket sharpish.” DJ Magazine, 2009.
Yeah enjoyed it like, think a load of people buggered off cuz kella weren't playing and the management sent away a big group cuz of thier I.D policy..But still not a bad night anyway, definately a rare mix of acts! I thought ya followed on alright from that acoustic act, definately had some energy going, was feelin a few of ya instrumentals aswell, if I'm southwards again I'll have 2 see if ya playing =]
