DownPour began as a pass time-project band. On bass Matt Wingren. On guitar Chris Apple . On drums Bob Carter. Matt would always come over when he lived at Lake Holiday and hang out with me ,Bobbo. We would bullshit around playin video games and partying. He was into music and i had always liked picking up a guitar to see if we could play something together ............. .............................................................................................................. '''By then he had been in a few bands and was working. My boys had a passing interest in playing music, so one Christmas, I had some extra cash and bought enough equipment for everyone to play. So we all jammed around a little until they gave up. So Matt and I started playing everything from Keyboards to bass and acoustic to drums............................................................................ '''''''Soon Matt introduced me to Chris Apple. Chris came up here from San Diego awhile back .Chris and Matt had played together before and we started jammin together and decided to form a band . We had some original songs and lotsa ideas, so we started calling ourselves Chrome Molly , which we later changed to DownPour ......................................................................................... ...
Since we started playing together, we always planned on lyrics and someone to sing them. We had been looking for a singer /songwriter to add their abilities to our music. That most generally explains why the songs are instrumental. ...................
Now just recently that plan came to be. Chris's long time friend and accomplished musician, Jeremy Rench was invited to jam and maybe later join us. We are now glad to welcome him to the band. Check out his music , he has his own site , just look in our top 40 friends. Jeremy plays electric as well as acoustic along with bass and drums as well sing. We are eager for him to share his talent with us.
