Representing New York City, Dave is a known and devoted contributor to the North American Drum and Bass community. Owner of Driven AM, the premier North American DnB Artist Management, Record Label label, and Production company. Events coordinator and resident DJ for various NYC parties including ‘100% Original’ and for the past 6 years as part of the legendary NYC production team Direct Drive. Emerging producer with multiple releases out and in the works including upcoming releases on Peer Pressure Recordings, Luv Disaster, Funk Star (alongside Sol.id) and Driven AM Recordings. His latest release "Better Days" features Sinistarr and is out on Driven AM Recordings. Dave's tunes are being supported by TC1, Stunna, Mixmaster Doc, Dave Owen and many others. A Dj that has performed live more than 160 times in 12 States in the past 10 years alongside some of the biggest names in DnB. Dave is a driven individual, whose passion for Drum and Bass shows in his music and live performance.

Formerly known as Dj Sheik-mon, Dave began Djing in 1997 and soon released hip-hop tapes for Baby Paul and On the Real entertainment, a subdivision of ARISTA Records, before turning to his true passion, DnB. He has performed live in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, California, Arizona, Ohio, Massachusetts, Vermont and Puerto Rico while having the honor of sharing the bill with major names in DnB including Commix, Calibre (2x), London Elektricity (2x), High Contrast, Grooverider, Patife, Dj Zinc, Dieselboy, SUV, Klute, Chase & Status, Makoto, Raw Q, Mathematics, Random Movement, Mixmaster Doc, Sinistarr, Vegas of Bad Company UK, Adam F (2x), Nookie, Bachelors of Science, Saburuko, Dara, DB, Silver, Stakka, SST, Dj Lee, J-Smooth, Will Miles, Reid Speed, Odi, Sol.id, Aquasky, Burner Brothers, Dj Seoul and more.

As a DJ, Dave is known for his energy, smooth mixing skills, and his quality track selection, which at the moment is comprised mainly of unreleased tunes by American DnB producers including his own. His live and studio mixes have been downloaded over 30,000 times from all over the world. His sound is deep, melodic, minimal, Jazzy, funky and always aimed at the dancefloor.

Dave has been involved in music his entire life. As a youth he performed in local and regional theater. In high school and into college Dave was the singer songwriter for the band Midnight in a Perfect World performing all over the east coast. In the summers of 2001 and 2003 Dave sang and played guitar in a Jazz band in Pisciotta Italy with Jazz Pianist Pete Malinverni. Also in 2003, Dave began producing electronic music, immediately drawn to producing DnB. In late 2004 Dave co-founded the net-label 'Expanding Electronic Diversity', which is devoted to independent electronic musicians. In 2005 Dave recorded vocals for ‘Music in 2d’ with EED co-founder David Tagg and in 2006 he performed improvisational electronic music at Percussion Lab in Brooklyn, NY as part of the ‘Tagg, Lupkin, Shichman Trio’.

In 2006 Dave launched Driven AM, the NYC based Artist Management and promotion company which currently handles bookings for some of the most respected and talented Dj/producers in the US including DB, Mixmaster Doc, Raw Q, Random Movement, Bachelors of Science, Sinistarr, Jo-S, Kjell, Datcyde, Dj Seen, Dj Seoul, Dj Strife, and UK talent Nookie. In June 2007 Dave began hosting a monthly DnB event in NYC, showcasing artists from the Driven Artist Management roster. For nearly a year he brought the best US and UK talent on the Driven AM roster to NYC, including for their NYC debut Mixmaster Doc, Bachelors of Science, and Random Movement. In 2008 that party morphed in to ‘100% Original’, a monthly party in NYC where each artist plays strictly their own music, currently on hiatus.

2009 has been a very busy year for Dave. March saw a short 5 show US tour across the country Djing in Cleveland, Tucson, San Diego and San Francisco. He has also continued to expand Driven AM’s roster and mission. April was an exciting month as saw the launch of Driven AM Recordings, an outlet for members of the artist roster. Forthcoming releases include EP’s by Mixmaster Doc, Sinistarr, Raw Q and Random Movement to start.

The debut Driven AM release was extra special for Dave as it was his own debut release, a 4 song EP entitled ‘Towards the Fire’. The track was featured on TrackItDown and is available at Juno, Itunes, Amazon, and many other fine online retailers. In addition to previously mentioned collaborations, his debut album being released in 2009 will be a collection of DnB tunes aimed at the dancefloor as well as a more intimate settings. His tunes are being supported by Dj’s across America and on stations such as Bassdrive and Bassjunkies.
