LIVE AT THE LUMINAIRE, PERFORMING 'WORLD STOOD STILL'
Sounds Like
I'd like to believe I sound unique...My greatest female (vocals) inspirations are Mariah Carey and Aaliyah. Aaliyah was so natural, pure and soulful...the beauty of her voice will always amaze me. Mariah has always been in a league of her own...
Hi friends, fans and fellow musicians!
I'm Sheila Gordhan, otherwise known as 'Sheila~G.'
I've worked with and performed alongside many talented musicians over the past 6 years, including the likes of Pure Silk, Raghav, Shola Ama, DJ Ramsey, Tippa Irie & Peter Hunnigale, just to name a few!! Some famous venues I've performed at include The Royal Albert Hall and Wembley arena, as well as many clubs across London. I speak 5 languages fluently including French and German; this eclectic background has influenced my music, encouraging me to write in different styles and different languages. As varied as my music is, all of it is as original as can be ;-)
I've had several releases to date including a compilation in India entitled 'Sheila~G' under major record label 'Music today.' Check out the following link: http://www.music-today.com/allinseries.phtml?series_id=636&genere_id=11
This release has been very successful and the video 'teasin' has been aired all over major music channels MTV, Channel U (UK), Zee TV (Worldwide) and many others. The compilation is also available on itunes
I've most recently been working with John Robinson from Clique productions Uk (Angie Brown, Tony Laf, Shaheen Badaar), who has produced most of the stuff that's up on my page!
I'm now looking for some fresh production, and interesting collaborations. So if you like what you hear, producers, DJs, labels etc, get in touch;-)
Peace, Sheila xxx
