Belly Dancing, dancing at the clubs & costuming of any kind. Exploring what the world has to offer (the world *is* my oyster!). Music, singing (caterwauling, I calls it!) laughing, photography, Magic, Spirituality, navel gazing, reading, making friends, & spending time with interesting people. Camping (with style!), sparkly, glittery things to wear, going to the gym & working up a sweat then soaking in the hot tub after. Devouring your immortal soul. Just kidding. Hedonism, sensuality & sexuality. Touching & being touched. Whatever pretty shiny thing or person catches my eye. Shopping! Cute shoes!!!! Sitting in the sun just being alive. Yeah there's more, but I can't give all of my secrets away!

Music
Genre wise, just about anything although I generally don't care for modern country. Other than that, for me to like a song it has to make me FEEL. Whether with haunting/playful & quirky (quirky is GOOD!)/toe-curling lyrics or some riffs that make me want to cry/laugh/fuck. Oh, I'm a sucker for anything with a good jangly guitar in it! Or, it just has to make me wanna shake my ass :) Simple enough, no?
Movies
Any Monty Python, zany Australian comedies...anything with luscious costuming, historical or fantasy. Musicals, films with really intelligent dialogue, but I also enjoy movies that have super-duper gratuitous explosions & virtually no dialogue! I just really like to watch movies & I never try to guess the endings! A movie has got to be really really awful for me not to like it. Oh, I do tend to stay away from blood & guts slasher horror with no plot, although I'm always ready for a good psychological thriller!
Television
I don't watch much anymore.
Secret of Fire
On the last day
I kissed her hands,
Her eyes her lips.
I said to her: you are now
Ripe like an apple
Half of you: a woman
The other half: impossible to describe.
The words
Escaped me
And I escaped them
Both of us collapsed.
Now I pray
For the childhood of this light face
And for this ripe, burning body
I bring my face closer
To this gushing spring,
Thirsty.
On the last day, I said to her:
You are the fire of the forests
The water of the river
The secret of the fire
Half of you cannot be described
The other half: a priestess in the temple of Ishtar.

Books
It's hard to pick a favorite-it's difficult to even pick 20 favorites! I love the Classics, also beautifully illustrated kid's books are a fave, um, I adore The Beat authors: "On the Road" & "Naked Lunch" oh yeah! Mythology, & I secretly love trashy paperbacks where I don't have to think while I'm in there!
Looking For Your Face
From the beginning of my life
I have been looking for your face
but today I have seen it.
Today I have seen
the charm, the beauty,
the unfathomable grace
of the face
that I was looking for.
Today I have found you
and those that laughed
and scorned me yesterday
are sorry that they were not looking
as I did.
I am bewildered by the magnificence
of your beauty
and wish to see you with a hundred eyes.
My heart has burned with passion
and has searched forever
for this wondrous beauty
that I now behold.
I am ashamed
to call this love human
and afraid of God
to call it divine.
Your fragrant breath
like the morning breeze
has come to the stillness of the garden
You have breathed new life into me
I have become your sunshine
and also your shadow.
My soul is screaming in ecstasy
Every fiber of my being
is in love with you
Your effulgence
has lit a fire in my heart
and you have made radiant
for me
the earth and sky.
My arrow of love
has arrived at the target
I am in the house of mercy
and my heart
is a place of prayer.

The endless list:
This is major cheese, but I admire & respect anyone who is true to who they are & who get back up when life kicks them in the cojones. Extra snaps to those who can laugh through the tears.
About me: "Life is a banquet & most poor suckers are starving to death!"

Ask me what you wish to know! Allright, that's a cop-out. I was born & raised in Phoenix AZ to a conservative (old country) Spanish mother & a father of mixed Mediterranean (mostly Spanish)/Cherokee descent. I was always odd girl out from my darker coloring to my entire outlook on life, politics, spirituality, etc. Not a black sheep, but definitely different. Puzzled looks were the norm at my house. It felt like being a peacock in an aviary full of swans.
To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.
Bertrand Russell
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others Marianne Williamson
We are what we think; as we desire so do we become! By our thoughts, desires, and habits, we either ascend to the full divine dignity of our nature, or we descend to suffer and learn.” - J. Todd Ferrier
Who I'd like to meet: Different & interesting people from all walks of life. Oh, & Samuel Clemens, Beethoven & Antonio Banderas. For different reasons ;D
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
