   About Shekere
Formed in 1996 by cult figure Nick Bard, Shekere are quite simply the finest white West-African drumming band in the south-east. Under the precise, percussive, pertinent and patient care of Hans Sutton they have blossomed into a formidable percussion unit of incomparable appeal. Playing Malinke rhythms at breakneck pace they have astonished audiences from Hastings to Edinburgh and beyond. They are stonking, stupendous and unstoppable.

Bouncy, upbeat tunes that stick in your brain and make you want to dance, leaving girls with a post-coital glow, and boys with pre-coital urges. All played live by our 7-piece band. From the libraries of Cambridge to the souks of Syria, and many places not in between, these tunes and rhythms have been a long time brewing, and they are finally about to burst into the real world, next Tuesday in Hoxton. Come, and bring your friends!

Man Make Crew,

There's been a lot of hungry people demanding when our next event is happening. Well, you need demand no more. Man Make Music is involved in the next massive Tenax and Poker Flat night at a very special secret warehouse venue in Shoreditch.

An incredible lineup of incredible music in a great, raw space in all our favourite end of London.

Get involved! Advanced tickets are very limited, and we've got some for you for only a fiver...

Some fool accused you of being the best white Djembe troupe in Britain on Sunday, I didn't argue as he knew much more about these things than I... Hope you're well. You playing Drumcamp this year?
