My Spectacular Summer Vacations
I look forward to my summer vacation over any holiday or season of the entire year. My amazing summer vacations are usually extravagant or exotic locations. The reason for this is because of the community involvement with Venture Crew 185. My crew and I work so hard to raise money every year so that we can experience things many people only dream of doing in their lifetime. For instance, we have already traveled throughout much of Europe, sailed the Caribbean seas, and wandered through the Pocono Mountains. Above all, each vacation is rewarding us with priceless knowledge. For one example, the rewards for hard work and dedication after a long year of fundraising are phenomenal. Each vacation itself is filled with learning. From learning about the history of each place to learning about ourselves and the people we are traveling with. Furthermore, many people do not get a chance to travel and see as much of the world as we have. The reason why we are so fortunate is because we don’t need to worry about the financials of each trip. Fundraising and generosity play a big role in how we achieve our goals. Lastly, my summer vacations are spent with people who I am not related to, but consider my family. The only thing that could ruin a vacation is a bad traveling companion; luckily, I have not found one yet. Each vacation brings out the best and worse in each of us, but when we return we are stronger as a family than ever before. In conclusion, my summers are spectacular and I would not trade them for anything. I have my travelling family, priceless knowledge, and history of all the places we have been. Our deeds still travel with us from afar, and what we have done makes us what we are. (Word count 300)
