About me:
I am the mother of three fantastic grown children - 2 live in the USA - my youngest lives here in Oz. I have two beautiful granddaughters in the USA. I am married to a great Australian bloke. I have lived on the east coast of Australia for 7-1/2 years. I lived in the Lake Macquarie area for 6 years - now I live on the Central Coast of New South Wales. I have spent most of my time in Australia on the beaches shell seeking, watching the waves, and listening to the astounding sea. The ocean speaks to my soul. I am a genuine nature lover and feel most at ease outdoors. I was born and raised in IDAHO and I have also lived in WASHINGTON State, and in Phoenix, ARIZONA.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer on the 24th of October 2006. I hope my journey will help me to inspire and encourage others. I have had surgery, completed 30 radiation therapy treatments and had 18 weeks of chemotherapy which began on 22 March 2007 and are now finished. With every life experience I become a stronger and more courageous person. "Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear -- not absence of fear."~Mark Twain~
UPDATE: I am in remission! I am an 21 month breast cancer survivor! The only treatment I currently receive is Arimidex tablets which stops estrogen production in my body and helps stop the risk of recurrence (even though it makes me feel rotten).

I just wanted you to know that I was thinking of you my sweet friend. Always keeping you close to my heart and in my thoughts and prayers. Praying all is well with you and your family.
Hey Kris! Thanks for popping by. It was great to hear from you - hope things are going well and that you're not melting too much in the heatwaves. We've had some welcomed-rain which has brought relief to our gardens and also our sanity .. ha ha!
Hope your week went well & the weekend is even better. Keep smiling.....and keep dreaming.....
Henry David Thoreau:
I have learned, that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
We are home from our month-long trip to Texas & trying to get back into the swing of things! We're still celebrating Christmas with family here at home. Maybe another week of sleeping in will help get us ready for the New Year!
