Heavy Headed Dog
Born and raised in Arkansas, I'm proud to be a country girl. I like all the usual tomboy stuff, but my true love and lifelong passion is for music. I began singing at the age of 8 at a local country music show, and by the time I turned 10 years old, I was lead singer in my first band (Twister Alley). We traded all of our "kid time" for band practices and country music festivals. We traveled the country playing anywhere my mom could book us a show!! Gilley's, Opryland, Fan Fair.... Then....the day I got my driver's license I started coming to Nashville on the weekends to sing demos. When I graduated from high school, we got a deal (with the help of friend and producer, Mike Lawler)!!! Signed to Mercury Records in 1993, we were fortunate enough to hit the road with some amazing artists, including Billy Ray Cyrus, Toby Keith, Shania Twain, just to name a few. The 3 singles and videos that were released weren't exactly chart toppers, but our first single "Dance" was definitely a hit with the linedancing crowds!!
Anyway, that's the past....now I'm ready for the future! Back in Nashville after several years gone, I'm here to stay and ready to play!!
