I think the glass is way more than half full.
My husband is one top-notch fellow, through and through. I love him more today than I did when we met twenty-six years ago.
I am saddest for people who think they "tried" God because they tried religion. Religion stinks. You have to go further than the church door to find His satisfying presence. Oh, but when you get close to Him, you find yourself praying that He'll help you be strong enough to resist anything or anyone who tries to pull you away.
I love my friends, my family, and my dogs, two chocolate labs. Rocky and Dixie Belle are the best.
I'm only gonna be on this earth for a short while. I'm determined to spread as much love, joy, and faith as I can before I go.
I'm the host of TV, radio, and web segments called All Things Southern. Come visit me: http://www.allthingssouthern.com
I'm working on a book that will be released by Penguin USA Spring/Summer '08. It's called "Suck Your Stomach In and Put Some Color On." It's full of those things southern girls hear from their mamas. You can read more about it at my website.
Don't settle. There's always more.
