About me: Born and raised in the ruff streets of Newark, New Jersey, Shelton S. Jackson managed to escape the crime and violence of the streets through education and in the eighth grade his world was changed when he was introduced to poetry. Jackson, used this new medium to express his trails of coming out of the closet, falling in love at first sight with a man, becoming HIV positive for that love, and finally being reborn to do what he describes as “God’s will.”
Jackson has published two books of poetry on his journey of acceptance. Jackson now still resides in Newark, NJ where he has started his own publishing company, SSJ Publishing, Inc. Through SSJ, Jackson hopes to publish other authors whose personal truth will serve as a beacon of hope for others. Jackson believes that SSJ Publishing is the next step in healing literature that will, “Take Truth to the Next Level-Reality.”

Here's some truth I really want you to think about; YOU are a perfect spiritual soul. You have been sent to the earth experience to express the Divine that is within you. The illusions that you call problems and trouble only has the power you give it. They are nothing more than distractions to take your eyes off of your goals! Don’t allow those illusions to dictate to you how you feel about yourself and to you from accomplishing you dreams! You are Divinity in human form...yes you are. Nothing can disturb the calm peace of your soul when you KNOW you are MASTERY, AUTHORITY & DOMINION! So I want you to bring your mind back to the TRUTH; and that truth is; You and God are ONE. Nothing can harm you when YOU decide to be the Master you are! Within you is the ability to make, master, do, produce and accomplish all things. Get quiet, go within and bring forth those gifts so that you may do the true work of YOUR Heart & Spirit. I count it a pure joy and am humbled to share this spiritual truth with you. If you are a mother or not but you are a daughter or son. In the memories of mothers who are only in spirit, I want to thank your mother for bringing such a lifting spirit into this world.
One this special day We honor all mothers For Their sacrifices and devotions. It’s a brave accomplishment for mother to bring life into this world. She will have be to very skilled in patience, nurturing, to be able to multi task and be clairvoyant. Her children unknowingly will dependent on her love for the rest of their lives, For a mother’s loving is never ending; So to all you special women I wish you a very blessed and wonderful Mothers’ Day.
I am so shocked to hear of your passing. I found out a few days ago when I saw your page on the page of a mutual friend. I enjoyed having you as a classmate and friend when we attended Morgan State University. We were the ones who stood out because we were different and spoke our minds in class... lol!!! You'll be missed, but still in the hearts of the lives you've touch. You'll be gone but not forgotten... See you soon!!!
I'm sitting here wishing that I could just say hi and check on you again. I still can't believe that you have gone home. Thank you so much for the lessons of love and friendship that you shared with everyone that came to know you. We'll charish them for years to come. And when I get there to that great city with you... I hope they have good coffee there in Heaven cause you owe me a Grande Mocha... Rest In Peace my friend. I'll see you when I get there.

COMING ACROSS SHELTON'S PAGE AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS,I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR OF HIS DEMISE.....ALTHOUGH I DID NOT KNOW HIM PERSONALLY,IT TOOK M3 BY GREAT SURPRISE..IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT PPL IN AMERICA AT LEAST ARE STILL SYING OF AIDS?!
THAT PROBABLY SOUNDS LIKE A TRITE A/OR IGNORANT COMMENT,BUT IT'S REMINDED M3 ONCE AGAIN OF JUST HOW PRECIOUS LIFE IS AND I HOPE TO START MAKING THE MOST OF MINE FROM THIS DAY FORWARD.
