    Noel Glass - P.I.'s Interests
GeneralScience and the Blues. Being Chicago born, I felt in love with the blues beat while learning the numbers of science. It's funny how many related things are connected. Like one man's murder and the end of the world. They're connected and I can prove it!
MusicThe Blues. Give me Bessie Smith, Merlot Sterling, Howlin' Wolf and scores more.
MoviesMy sidekick, Wan Lee, loves Cagney. Can't get enough of the gangster flicks. Drags me to them on a Saturday night, when we're not working a case. I'm more a Bogie fan, but then that Monroe dame ain't a bad shape in a drape either.
TelevisionIs there anything good on? My free time is all after midnight, and by then all the stations have all shut down for the night.
Books
HeroesAlbert Einstein.

   Noel Glass - P.I.'s Blurbs
About me:
My Name is Noel R. Glass. I once was a respected scientist and madly in love. All that ended in a splash of scarlet.

It’s 1953 and I’m a shamus working the streets of Industry City. I don’t rely on instinct — science is my game. The cases I get, and the booze I drink, keep oblivion one step away. That is, until some rich recluse walks in and tells me I was framed all those years ago.

Now, I have to clear my own name, like that’s easy. Everyone’s keeping secrets. Can I trust my neighbor, the mysteriously connected Wan Lee? Or the skirt; the chanteuse Merlot Sterling? Her lies are almost as beautiful as her voice. Even my inherited bodyguard can’t keep the hit men, spies or my own government from trying to put me under.

You see, some twisted organization believes I know something and wants to keep me quiet. All I do know is they’re going for global domination using a device I created. They’ve already killed one world leader and Ike could be next.

God, I could use a bourbon and some answers, but neither comes cheap these days.

If you'd like to hear more about this, some quill named David Boop wrote a whole book about it. Guess he couldn't find work writing for the funny pages, but he even got the damn thing published.
It's called She Murdered Me with Science (ain't that the truth!) and is coming out in August.

Here's the skinny:

ISBN: 978-0-9795889-9-0, trade paperback.

Who I'd like to meet:
In my travels, I've already been fortunate enough to meet some interesting folk. That's if you think eggheads like James Watson, the guy who discovered DNA are interesting. Maybe you'd by more impressed that I met President Eisenhower? In fact, Ike and me are old buddies. Yeah, with that and a dime, you could get a cup of coffee. Oh, then there was J. Edgar Hoover, Allen Dulles, and William Radford; three of the most powerful men in the free world. I think the one that gets me the ladies is meeting Art Shay, an ace shutterbug who knows exactly how to take the one picture you'd least like to see on the front page. Oh, him and Uncle Milty. Anytime you meet a guy in a dress, it's worth a round of hooch at the brass rail.

So, if you'd like to meet me, I've been hanging out on the mean streets of Second Life (the first one is not crazy enough, apparently.) I use an alias, so I can work incognito. Look me up, if you're around. Adric Zauber is the name to ask for.

Here's some blurb from the streets that didn't make the book jacket. This guy's a genius. You should read everything he writes! Look for him in my friend's list!

"I'm being murdered, Mr. Glass, and it's all your fault." How can you not be intrigued by a premise that starts off like this? Noel Glass is a contradiction. He is also a down on his luck snoop, a private detective working the dirty streets of Industry City just trying to make a buck. He's a bit of a boozer. Oh yeah, and a certified genius on the verge of a major breakthrough.
She Murdered Me with Science takes the best parts of the pulp era and infuses them with witty dialogue, intriguing characters, and real-world 1950's events. Noel Glass easily takes place next to his 50's detective counterparts. He's grim and gruff when he has to be, but he's always the smartest man in the room. What more could you ask for in a private detective? Oh, okay, he's damned entertaining to read about too.
David Boop's novel is a fun, wild ride that you'll have trouble putting down once you start reading it.

Dear Mr. Glass:
So Wan is untrustworthy and Merlot is a liar...? That's tough brother - what's a hunted man to do? They usually allow fictional characters into the dives where we play, so come on down for a bourbon on us... maybe we can help you see the next plot twist coming.
Take care Noel -- and call us if you get into too much hot water, OK pal?
