Sherbet Mandao, have taken the Bluesbreakers in their soul to evolve into one of the most exciting Rhythm & Blues bands to ever to emerge from South Wales. ------
With many years of experience behind them, they play for the love of live music with integrity and passion. This hard working band has recently hit the forefront of the Blues Club scene going down “a storm” at the Blues Dragon Club, Cardiff. The rhythm comes with the pedigree of Jerry Warden Smith tour bass and Ben Tipler Drums (ex Worried Men). With thousands of gigs behind them, their experience delivers exactly the right foundation for Sherbet Mandao’s sound, including the SRV styled tone of young prodigy Luke Doherty on guitar. Their version of Stormy Monday Blues, gained GTFM airplay alongside that of Eva Cassidy and Gary Moore, the influence of original Bluesbreakers clearly evident in this respected performance. Andy Preston guitar / vocals, Andy , masterfully blends a myriad of influences from Angus Young to Larry Carlton whilst maintaining a clear connection to the music of legends such as Peter Green, Clapton he grew up with. -----The band is a rare and genuine exponent of the pure tone, less is more, British blues heritage and are delighting audiences with the emotion, authenticity in their delivery of crafted, original and classic Blues! Sherbet Mandao can be seen at Blues Clubs and festivals throughout 2009!
