Sherie started writing songs at the age of 36 which just goes to show that anyone can start anything at any age. Originally from Boston, Sherie moved to L.A. in 1998 for reasons that had nothing to do with music. Six years later, one morning while getting coffee at work in Van Nuys, one of her co-workers said, "You should write a song." Then, Sherie said, "Mm mm.... I've never done that before. That's a good idea. Maybe, I will." So, she did, and then she wrote another one and another one, and the songs just kept on pouring forth. "Wicked awesome!" she said. She found that songwriting was an incredibly liberating and healing experience for her, and now, her plan is to continue to write songs forever. Sherie also sings and plays the guitar and the flute. She is extremely grateful for all the incredibly talented, helpful, supportive, inspiring, compassionate, and good-hearted songwriters and musicians that have assisted, encouraged, and guided her and been a light along the way. In fact, you might be one of them reading this right now.
