Sherkan is an atypical group, a mixing of influences as various as Bjork, Mr. Bungle, Machine Head, Korn, Meshuggah, Sepultura... The band's wishes, with his primarily anglophone musical culture, are to make known its music beyond the French borders so it pushed them to sing exclusivly in English. The musical work of Sherkan is summarized as follows: to collect in a single entity a maximum of environments. Thus, through the songs of "Wings", one will be able to feel power, sadness, melancholy, madness, joy, hatred, sensuality, irony, intimacy, frustration... This entity is called Sherkan and the consequence of this work is that all the pieces do not resemble each other, on the contrary, each piece proposes a single concept.
Sherkan est un groupe atypique, un brassage d'influences aussi diverses que Tool, Mr Bungle, Machine Head, Lofofora, Meshuggah, Sepultura... Cette culture musicale essentiellement anglophone ainsi que le désire de faire connaître sa musique au dela des frontières françaises a poussé le groupe à chanter exclusivement en anglais.
La démarche musicale de Sherkan se résume ainsi : recueillir dans une entité unique un maximum d'ambiances. Ainsi, à travers les compos de "Wings", on pourra ressentir puissance, tristesse, mélancolie, désespoir, folie, joie, haine, sensualité, ironie, intimité, frustration... Cette entité s'appelle Sherkan et la conséquence de cette démarche est que tous les morceaux ne se ressemblent pas, au contraire, chaque morceau propose un concept unique. Rendez-vous le 18 février 2008 avec la suite de l'aventure "wings"!

Pünktlich vor Weihnachten beschenk ich Euch mit einem Mixtape namens „Diss G'sicht Mixtape!!!“ Mit sage und schreibe 24 Tracks habe ich versucht in alter 1000und1Gesicht-Manie ein Werk zusammenzustellen, dass mein Facettenreichtum weiderspiegelt und somit auch für jeden von Euch was dabei ist. Right after the Beaujolais, here comes the STOG nouveau. A first new song entitled Dogma is online. A second one will follow soon. The style inevitably evolved due to the staff changes. We wanted to create a more personal and open-minded music, but the spirit remains the same. Only one rule: no rule !
Our aim is to keep on composing and to show our energy live. But for this second point, we still need a drummer. A second guitar player is also wanted, although not absolutely required to start performing.
