The band's name 'Shiloh' means "place of peace" in Hebrew, and also refers to one of the great battles of the American civil war. This paradox sums up the contrasting forces that are embodied in the music. Shiloh was conceived in Adelaide 2007 when five guys got together and asked the question, "How far can we take this?"
One of the main driving forces of the band is to push the boundaries of contemporary rock music by exploring different genres to create in essence, music that combines elements of light and shade, power and subtlety, chaos and reason. The band has spent the last eight months working on tracks and it now intends to spread their message to the masses. Plans are underway to record their debut EP in early 2009, with extensive touring to follow. The battle of Shiloh has begun!
