Which Western feminist icon are you?

You are Virginia Woolf! You were openly bisexual and had public affairs, but you never liked sex. You wrote a seminal feminist work, long before feminists knew that they were feminists. In this vein, you never really considered yourself a feminist. You were a tragic figure, but a damn genius.

About me:
Myspace Layouts

Hi thanks for shimmering and glowing.

I am a London based writer and film-maker. I trained in theatre and film before going on to work with some of the UK's most exciting new writing theatres. My plays for theatre include SHELFLIFE and KNIVES, NEEDLES And SATURDAY NIGHTS at the Royal Court Theatre, LIQUID with Paines Plough and BLOWN at Theatre Royal, Plymouth.

My theatre work is visceral, passionate, dark and funny. I believe theatre should push boundaries and take us beyond what's safe and known.

My first short film TREEHOUSE has been screened at film events and festivals across the UK. Shot on betamax in the lush Hampshire landscape and featuring a beautiful original score by MUNKIE producer Jason Clarke, TREEHOUSE is an esoteric sensory experience.

Treehouse can be seen online at:

http://www.bmetv.net/1024/home.asp?playid=755&name=treehouseWM7

*NEW* Treehouse is now being shown in rotation on digital short film channel Propeller TV- have a look at www.propellertv.co.uk for details.

Check it out and tell me what you think.

*NEW* poetry- only a few poems in the bag but I'm loving it. It's like writing lyrics for the band I've always wanted but never had, without the shame of having no musical ability and a singing voice that makes small children cry.

Adam Green
The Ex-Men

second book. Lazy Gramophonite Adam Green reads from Satsuma Sun Mover, a surreal coming-of-age tale. Generation Txter Laura Forman performs poems about Bon

Jovi (yes!) and Battersea Power Station. Plus music and spoken word from Glasgow-based duo The Ex-Men. Doors 7pm, free entry. Produced in association with

Melanie Challenger
Eleanor Rees
Chris McCabe
Songdog

Salt poets Eleanor Rees (Andraste's Hair) and Melanie Challenger (Galatea) have both been nominated for this year's Forward Prize for Best First Collection.

Which is reason enough to come and hear them read. Like Eleanor, Chris McCabe is a Salt poet and a Liverpudlian. His collection The Hutton Inquiry is a

powerful examination of language under pressure. Musical refreshment is provided by the excellent Songdog, led by playwright Lyndon Morgan.

Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for the add. I remember Blown from my days of working at Theatre Royal Plymouth - in fact, I got to know the cast a bit, although I have to say I can't remember if I ever met you.

Anyway, it was a good play. I've actually got the Education pack sitting in front of me now, as I found it t'other day. Quite how you can have an education pack for a play that involves online masturbation, I do not know...

Best Wishes,

Dan @ BURNTarts
