Writing is my way of releasing some of my frustration. I don't like to argue and fight so I write lyrics and sing them in my room. I may not sound the greatest but it feels good. Also, I love to laugh at my silly jokes. I call myself an ex-athlete because I used to play all kinds of sports. I still kinda do...basketball with my little brother. Don't be fooled by the cute face...I CAN KICK ASS! This might make me sound like a nerd but I looooooove researching new things and sharing the things I learn with my friends. I also looooove shopping and getting my hair done...I guess that's the TV/ Radio personality in me!

Music? I live for music! It's what gets me through my day. My family thinks I'm nuts but I love blasting music from my room. That's usually how they know if I'm home or not! HA! I even sleep with music playing softly in my room. I guess that's why I'm a radio personality... music and me click... we need each other! It's my drug...lol...

Television
I think a part of me wants to have a side career as a lawyer or investigator because I love watching CSI, Criminal Minds and Law and Order. Law is also one of my favorite classes in school. Nancy Grace (CNN) and Dateline are just a few more I enjoy watching! Maybe one day I'll play a lawyer on TV. That way, I'll be living out both my dreams! lol..
Then I got the other side of me that likes to just kick back and enjoy something carefree like American Idol (I'm addicted), Amazing Race (Great show) , Oprah (Always loved her!!!) and Tyra (Very impressed by her!!!). Go ahead Tyra, do your thing!

You see with me, I'm a little different. I like those chick flicks but I HATE those love stories in books. Don't ask why. I just do! I can't sit there and go through a love story in a book the same way I can if it were a movie. I'd rather read something that motivates me...something that encourages me...something that has a positive message for me...books like, "Make It Happen" (Kevin Liles), "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", "The Tipping Point". To me, reading is suppose to teach you something! Those love stories in a book just don't cut it for me! It might not make sense to you but it makes PERFECT sense to me! That's just how I stay!!!
I am a biographies kinda chick so I'm into books like Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Ghandi. (I like books that are inspirational...I like to be inspired.)

Sometimes the people you should appreciate the most are the ones you take advantage of the most.
My mom and dad are my heroes and I don't even think they know it! Hopefully, I've made them proud. I'm not really an emotional person so I don't really express my love towards them when I'm at home but I really can't wait until I can finally tell them to sit back and relax...buy them the biggest house where the both of them can just be together with no worries. I just can't wait!!!

Sara Woldai and Mish-awn Marcano jumped into the entertainment scene at the ripe age of 16, taking everyone by storm. These two young ladies were on fire! They were determined to make a difference and have their voices heard. They began volunteering for the Static Show on CKLN 88.1 FM, Toronto’s number one college radio station, eventually landing an on-air position six months later. Excited about their new jobs, Mish-awn and Sara decided to adopt the name SHIMMIE ‘N’ SHYNE. This was only the tip of the iceberg for this dynamic duo! Meanwhile, these ladies began FOOTSTEPS ENTERTAINMENT, an organization dedicated to helping up-and-coming artists, models, DJ’s and athletes by showcasing their talent. As the years progressed, they continued to get involved with numerous media outlets. In 2003, they were successfully accepted into the prestigious Radio and Television Arts program at Ryerson University.
Just before they were accepted to Ryerson University, this forceful duo added another notch to their belt when they were selected as hosts/ segment producers for Planet Hoops, a national television show. A year later, Shyne accepted a job as a writer for Hoop City, a basketball/ urban lifestyle magazine. Shimmie continued to pursue her career as an actress, appearing in the hit HBO series Soul Food as the principle character, Haley. Shimmie ‘N’ Shyne are constantly looking for new and exciting possibilities to embark on. Those that come in contact with Shimmie ‘N’ Shyne love their charming personalities, overt sense of humor and mesmerizing smiles. The fact that Shimmie ‘N’ Shyne have been friends for over 10 years and have worked together for the last 6 years, explains why they have such a strong and natural chemistry. They work well feeding off each other and picking up where the other left off.
