Word and Mouth's Shine Multicultural Youth Festival 2008 will take place at Victoria Lake, Shepparton on SATURDAY 23 FEBRUARY from 12noon til 11.00pm.
The Shine Festival is the biggest and best festival in the region...you don't want to miss it!

- The Shine BAND BATTLE with 5 top GV bands vying for a generous recording package PLUS special guests DJ TOM TOM & ELF TRANZPORTER! These true hip hop pros are well received by audiences locally and internationally
- Acoustic performances throughout the day by talented young locals
- Free workshops in African Dance, African Drumming, Circus/Poi and Hip Hop Dance
- WickidForce Dance Demo - Don't miss seeing this spectacular number 1 Australian dance crew in action!
- Amusements for all ages including a giant inflatable slide (as seen on ROVE Live)

Hey guys, congrats to everyone involved in organising shine. It was awesome. We had a great time playing, as well as enjoying all the other music and other events. A consistently great event every year. Hope to be involved in playing next year aswell. Any other distortion/word and mouth events happening soon?
Here's the X Shine Festival pun medley - It's your time to shine! You're a star how could you not shine! You shine so bright! You are my sunshine my only sunshine - ok we're plucking at straws now, that last doesn't even really qualify, i mean it's a shine medley not SUNSHINE. I was actually hoping to think of more puns than that, We're a little down on ourselves now. I mean who ever thought a pun medley could be so lame. No before I go, I want to see everyone's happy shiney faces at the Shine Festival this weekend! Woo, what a way to finsh!!
Our new track LOOK BACK is now available as a free download. Head to our page, hit the JJJ UNEARTHED link, download it, review it, and rock out to it. It will help us get some airplay, and then hopefully we can quit our jobs and become rockstars.

The wait is over. After 4 long months off Dora Mah return to launch their debut EP. Dora Mah has been one of the word of mouth success stories of 2007, with the name being dropped in any bands to see conversation. Joining Dora Mah Febuary 8 at Ding Dong lounge will be Rincon, Johnny Uppercut & Rumourtism. Dora Mah promise an arena spectacular (does an extra strobe light count?).
You got to wonder what you guys are going to do with this myspace till the next SHINE fest
