Shine's a dynamic group-we cater our shows to what will best fit each gig we play=we range from acoustic 3-piece, to a full band with full PA and anywhere in between. We love to play anywhere from restaurants, bars, and cafes to parties and weddings. Just let us know when and where you want us, and we'll be there. We play a wide range of covers for you to recognize and enjoy, and we also toss in some of our own creations. We're always up to learn new songs, if you have any requests-throw em at us! The Shine evolution:
Mike and Kiki have been playing together for over 2 years. They love to sing and play anytime anywhere. Mike rocks out the guitar while Kiki plays percussion and sometimes chimes in on the harmonica. Both sing and write songs.
Kiki grew up in the Tennesse Valley and loves the outdoors. She's been singing and dancing her whole life. Mike was born in NYC, and landed in beautiful NC at the age of 6 and has been here ever since. Inspired and taught by his father, Sal, Mike learned to play as a teenager. Sal taught Mike well and they compliment each other's styles, Sal playing rythm/lead guitar and Mike playing bass. Aaron is a friend of the family and he keeps us steady with his drums and gives us bigger sound. Everyone in Shine truly appreciates their blessings and the joy that comes from making music together and with others. Kiki is hoping to be sittin on a porch swing 40 years from now singing to Mike's pickin'. If the other guys are still rockin' alongside, that'd be all the more to appreciate. Stay tuned, and we shall see where the future takes us :) Whatever happens, it'll be good, that's just the way we live...
