    I'm looking at conditions of consolidated democracies and isolating those that have a direct influence on the rate of crime. Hopefully, at the end of many many sleepless computer-screen-filled nights, I'll be able to say with relative statistical significance what a state can do to reduce its level of crime barring naive wishes of system overhaul or anarchy... I'm not getting very far. Blah.
