Shipwrecked Pirate Music Festival 2009's Blurbs |
About me:
DAMN THAT SCURVY ECONOMY!
It is with great sadness that we come to you today. Due primarily to the economy but also coupled with some personal life issues, we have decided we will not be able to produce Shipwrecked Pirate Music Festival this year.
With gas being at an all time high it is clear to us that we cannot ask the performers to make any larger financial sacrifices than they already had planned to make in order to make this event a success. We are also seeing a decline in interest from people travelling any distance for this event becasue of rising fuel costs. On top of all of that, we are also finding financial investment and sponsorship support to be at an all time low for new business ventures.
That being said, we have decided that we will take the next 15 months to layout a plan and devise a way that we can throw Shipwrecked in the true form that we want. There will be a massive overhaul of our business model to insure that the newly produced Shipwrecked will be the most memorable pirate event anyone has ever seen. We will begin working closely with legal and financial professionals to get a solid foundation laid for a successful and profitable annual event. We hope that all of you understand and continue working with us.
We want to thank all of our friends, fans and family, as well as all of you in the pirate community who have welcomed and helped us out in this venture. We promise we are not dead in the water, only forced to take a longer way around to our destination.
We look forward to keeping in touch with all of you and will be providing an email list for updates soon!
