About me: Shirley Smith is a native Detroiter and is a accomplished musician on many instruments including keys. She was raised in an environment conducive for creativity and expression. She hails from a very musical family in Detroit. Both her Father and Grandmother toured musically in their respective eras. She is the original music director for Detroit's own Perilous Times. She has shared the stage with many of Gospel Music's who's who such as Fred Hammond, William H. Murphy, III, CeCe Winans, Mark Kibble of Take 6, Israel Houghton, Bruce Allen. She also has musically coached one of Gospel Music's anointed vocalists, Lisa McClendon. She is currently living in Jacksonville working as the Minister of Music at the Potter's House Christian Fellowship. She is also traveling nationally and internationally ministering to churches who are in need of "musical mentoring. She has decided to put her many years of musical experience in good use by becoming consulting to churches who need help in the areas of vocal development, and music administration.
