Born in Italy and currently living in London,UK,ShirleySaid are a visionary artist ensemble: composers / multi-instrumentalists / producers / sound designer; their music is a dreamlike journey into sensual , provocative and hypnotic electro-avant-pop.
Among their works, they collaborated with minimal techno artist Marco Messina (99 Posse) and the ZdB (ZOO d Berlino) music event agency, performed with NoCodecProject at clubs/venues with avantgardist DJ-set producing ambient sounds. Their live improvisations were played at photographic and art exhibitions. In the meanwhile composed music for Film / TV / Adv and Animation short film.Coming from different musical backgrounds they fuse their diverse vibes to create their first unique sound. With a strong independent / DIY philosophy, they also involved in visual art, photography, design and media-arts.
In 2009 released their fourth self-produced EP and moved to London where grow their own label and recording studio, Mokastudio inc.
ShirleySaid full-length EP ‘shirleysaid’ is out now.
The band consists of Giulia Scarantino(vocals, keyboards), Simone Bozzato(guitars/fx), Angelo Quadrini (bass/laud/noises), Alessandro Bottari (drums & programming) and Alessandro Tomei (dubbing).
